Imperial Cities Tour - Ouzoud from Marrakech

Breakfast. ½ day visit of the medina with a local guide. We will start with the Bahia Palace. Covering an area of eight thousand square meters, this Moroccan Andalusian palace houses lush gardens, a mosque, a stable, water ponds, a riad center, and numerous galleries of spacious rooms decorated with colorful marble patterns and ceilings made of delicately carved wood. The Bahia Palace was created in the mid-19th century and was one of the most luxurious opulent dwellings in Morocco and that of the "Grand Vizier" Hammad. Then visit the Medina of Marrakech: Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985 and spanning about 1100 hectares, the medina of Marrakech, like most old Moroccan cities, is enclosed by walls that spatially delineate the old city from the new, the spice souks, babouches, ironworkers, copper... We will finish by Jemâa El Fna square and the forecourt of the Koutoubia. Lunch (not included) and free afternoon. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.

Breakfast then departure with our confirmed driver towards Casablanca. Upon arrival, a city tour of the economic capital of Morocco, known for its Art Deco architecture. Lunch (not included). Visit of the exterior of Hassan II Mosque, the 3rd largest mosque in the world (interior visit of the Mosque is optional + 140 MAD / pax and must be arranged in advance – closed on Friday, Sunday afternoon, and public holidays – first visit at 09 AM and last visit at 02 PM). Check-in at the hotel / riad. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Then drive to Rabat. City tour with local guide including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, the Chellah necropolis. Lunch (not included). We will finish by the Kasbah of the Oudayas, a former military camp built in the 12th century and listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Continue to Meknes. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.

Breakfast. Visit Meknes with a local guide. Built on a hill, it can be seen from afar with its countless minarets. It reached its peak during the reign of Moulay Ismaïl : its monumental gates, Bab El Mansour and Bab El Khamis, El Hedime square, between the old city and the imperial city. Visit of the Moulay Ismaïl Mausoleum, the only mosque accessible to non-Muslims besides the Hassan II Mosque, following the wishes of Marshal Lyautey. Continue towards
the magnificent site of the ruins of Volubilis and visit with a mandatory local guide. On the way, discovery of the holy village of Moulay Idriss. Road towards Fes. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel / riad.

Breakfast. Tour with a local guide of the spiritual capital of Morocco and certainly the most beautiful of the Imperial Cities. Tour of the new city including the gates of the Royal Palace, the Merinid tombs, and the borjs offering a panoramic view of the medina. Then, discovery of the Medina or "Fès El Bali" and its historical monuments : visit of the Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and finally an exterior view of the Karaouine Mosque, the first university in the world. Lunch (not included) suggested at the Palais Mnhebi, former residence of Marshal Lyautey and the only monumental restaurant in Morocco. Continuation of the tour of the Medina with a discovery of the Fassi artisanal richness through the different souk districts, which are certainly the most enchanting in Morocco. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.

Breakfast. Departure towards Beni Mellal via Azrou, a trading crossroads in the Middle Atlas. We will cross Ifrane, a small climatic resort surrounded by cedar forests and streams. It is also nicknamed the little Chamonix. Then a detour by the place called the Gouraud Cedar to get closer to the famous Atlas monkeys. Continuing towards Beni Mellal. Lunch (not included). Then, continue towards Bin El Ouidane lake and the Ouzoud waterfalls. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.
