South Tour - Trekking from Marrakech

Breakfast. Meeting with our confirmed driver with a 4x4 specialized in the south. Departure towards the south for a total change of scenery. Crossing the Tizin't Tichka pass located at 2260 m and the highest road point in Morocco. Continue on a small road to reach the village of Télouet. Then we will take the old salt caravan trail. Arrival at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, a real open-air film studio. Lunch (not included). Visit with a local guide. You can climb to its summit to enjoy a 360° view. Then we will continue towards Ouarzazate and Agdz and the Drâa Valley through a mountainous crossing. Arrival at Agdz. Entering the green and lush world's largest palm grove is an almost unreal sensation. This sensation becomes tangible when entering the palm grove through the ruins of the ghost town of El Hara. Its Jewish origins testify to the commercial activity of the caravans of yesteryear. Stay at the 4* hotel / riad. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Early departure to head further south towards M’Hamid at the gates of the desert. Client pickup to join the starting point of our trek. Meeting with our hiking guide and camel handler for carrying luggage and bivouac equipment. Lunch followed by a long half-day walk through the various aspects of the desert, walking at a moderate pace while taking time to admire the landscapes and settling comfortably in the Bogarne dunes for the night in bivouac. 5 hours of walking. Dinner by campfire light and overnight stay in igloo tents. 5h30 of walking.

After breakfast, depart in the morning for a 3-hour walk passing through the oasis and Hamada desert, lunch break at noon before continuing with a 2.5-hour walk to reach Chegaga and our fixed camp to find less Spartan comfort and a good shower. Dinner and overnight at the fixed camp with sanitary facilities and shared showers where you will meet our 4x4 driver.

Breakfast. Then departure for a high-speed crossing of the dried-up Iriki lake following the tracks of the Paris Dakar.
We will finish with a slow track amidst magnificent landscapes. Lunch (not included) at Foum Zguid. Opportunity to explore the region with our driver. Accommodation at Riad Assia or similar. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure to Ouarzazate via Tazenakht. Upon arrival, we will join the Fint oasis which has been used as a backdrop for many films. Staying with a local at Chez Rachid or similar. Lunch. In the afternoon, discovery of the oasis and the lifestyle of its inhabitants. Then, Rachid's wife will introduce you to Moroccan cooking for dinner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Option (not included) : visit the Atlas film studios that have made Ouarzazate the "Ouarzawood" and where films such as Kundun, Asterix, Gladiators... were shot (8.00 Euros / pax payment on site). Return to Marrakech via the national road and the Tizin't Tichka pass.
