Itinerary
Arrival of the flight at Ménara airport. Welcome and assistance. Transfer to the hotel / riad. Dinner and accommodation.
Breakfast. 4x4 vehicles with driver provided. Departure for Ouarzazate via the Tizin't Tichka pass. Wonderful landscapes enhance this journey, particularly the small terraced villages clinging to the mountainside. We will take the old caravan route after the pass to reach the Casbah of Télouet: surrounded by high walls bristling with battlements and flanked by square bastions, built in the 19th century, it was enlarged and luxuriously furnished to serve as a residence for Thami el-Glaoui. Lunch ( not included). Descent of the Ounila valley via the caravan trail to the village of Aït Ben Haddou dominated by an Irghem (fortress granary), visit of the Casbah of Aït Ben Haddou. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / riad.
Departure for Zagora via Adgz, along the Drâa Valley. At Tansikht begins the track on the left bank of the Drâa River. Ksour, oases, and palm groves follow one another on either side of the river in a nearly uninterrupted ribbon of greenery. Lunch (not included) . In the afternoon, visit the oasis of Tamegroute, the medieval library, and the Tinfou dunes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / riad.
Breakfast and departure in a 4x4 on the Saharan tracks. Crossing stony plateaus, via the Tizin’Tafilalet pass to reach Tazzarine. Lunch (not included) then continuation to Rissani via the paved road. Discovery of the ancient capital of Tafilalet, then sandy track up to the bivouac site, at the Merzouga dunes. "Nomadic Bivouac" with Berber dinner. An adventure not to be missed: unforgettable moments around the campfires, in a festive atmosphere.
After watching the magic of the sunrise in the dunes, we took a forty-kilometer track to reach Tinerhir. We ventured into the Todra Gorges. Lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we drove to Boumalne, and ventured into the Dades Gorges. We descended in hairpin turns along the Dadès, offering panoramic viewpoints over the valley. We continued on to Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.
Moroccan breakfast then departure for Marrakech through the High Atlas and via the Tizin'Tichka pass. Continuing on to Ouirgane and Moulay Ibrahim to join the 17 km track of the Kik plateau and descent towards the villages through the countryside before reaching Lalla Takerkoust and its reservoir lake. Lunch (not included) and return in the late afternoon to Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.
Breakfast .Morning dedicated to visiting Marrakech : the Menara basin, the Koutoubia, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. Lunch (not included) suggested in an old palace of the medina. Afternoon: a tour of the ramparts, the Agdal gardens, the downtown Gueliz area, ending with a visit to the medina, its souks, and Djemâa El Fna square. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel / riad.
