Itinerary

DAY 1
Arrival of the flight. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2
Visit of the Place des Nations Unies, Mohamed V Boulevard, Anfa villas district and the Aïn Diab corniche dominated by the new Hassan II Mosque. Fish lunch. Afternoon departure for Rabat and visit of the administrative capital: The Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Oudayas gardens. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3
Departure towards Volubilis to visit the Roman ruins, then continuing to Meknes via Moulay Idriss. Arrival in Meknes, the imperial city, elevated to the rank of capital by Sultan Moulay Ismaïl. Lunch at the palais Terrab or similar. Visit of the city, dominated by its bastion and surrounded by a triple wall of 40 km: La Place El Hedim, Bab Khémis, Bab Mansour. Continuation to Fès. Dinner.
DAY 4
Exploring Fes, the spiritual capital of the Kingdom and an important artisan center. Visit of Fès El Bali and its historical monuments: the Attarine Madrasa, the Karaouine Mosque, the first university in the world, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the souks. Lunch in an ancient Palace of the medina. Afternoon: tour of the new city Fès El Jedid, its enclosure, its Royal Palace.
DAY 5
Route to Ifrane and discovery of this climatic resort and winter sports area. Continuing on to Erfoud via Midelt, through a forest of old cedars and holm oaks tormented by the wind and by the Tizin't Talrhemt pass. Crossing the Ziz gorges, which form a passage lined with a slender belt of palm groves dominated by Ksours. Arrival in Erfoud, located in the heart of a vast and verdant palm grove.
DAY 6
Discovery of the Rissani palm grove, exterior view of the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Chérif, founder of the Alaouite dynasty, and visit to Ksar El Fida. Departure for the verdant Tinerghir, via Tinejdad, along a barren and desolate land. We enter the Todra Gorges with steep walls reaching 300 meters high. Lunch at la Kasbah Lamrani or similar and continuation to Boumalne whose houses are built on the mountainside. Incursion into the Dades gorges. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 7
Departure for the discovery of the Drâa Valley. The road winds through the Jbel Sargho mountain, then reaches an altitude of 1660 meters at Tizi N'Tinififft. From Agdz to Zagora, the road follows the Drâa and its string of palm groves dotted with kasbahs and ksours. Lunch at the restaurant Kasbah Asmâa or similar. In the afternoon, visit the Tamegroute Oasis and the medieval library. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 8
Departure for Agadir via Agdz and Tazenakht along the Drâa Valley. Crossing the Souss plain and the Argan tree area. Lunch in a superb residence, the Riad Hida. Continuing on to Taroudant and visit to the picturesque city nicknamed "La petite Marrakech" because of its belt of red ocher ramparts surrounded by gardens, eucalyptus, olive trees, pomegranates, and palm trees. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 9
Departure for the discovery of Tiznit; a city surrounded by a 5 km belt of crenellated ramparts: the Mechouar, a vast polygon bordered by shops, the jewellers' souk. Continuing on to Tafraoute, a small village located at 1200 m altitude in the center of a cirque of pink granite mountains via the Kerdouss pass. Lunch at the restaurant l’Amandier or similar. Personal discovery of Tafraoute and return to Agadir.
DAY 10
Departure for Essaouira, the former Mogador, which stretches along the Atlantic coast in its first part. Walk inside the ramparts that house a medina with strong Portuguese and Moorish influences, featuring its shopping alleys, a small shaded square, and Moorish café terraces. Visit the fishing port located at the end of a long and beautiful fine sandy beach, set at the foot of the ramparts. It offers a constant spectacle, in an exuberance of colors, those of the boats but also of the nets piled up on the docks. Fish lunch. Free time. Late afternoon departure for Marrakech. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 11
Day dedicated to discovering the city. In the morning, visit two beautiful palaces in Marrakech:
- The Bahia Palace, a rich princely residence from the last century with its many apartments surrounded by patios.
- The Saadian Tombs
- The Ben Youssef Madrasa
- The Koutoubia and the Menara gardens,
Lunch in the medina in an old palace. In the afternoon, tour of the ramparts, Djemâa El Fna square, the medina, and the colorful souks.
Dinner and accommodation at the hotel
Optional: on-site Fantasia dinner at Chez Ali: 50 Euros / pax.
DAY 12
Breakfast. Free time depending on the flight. Transfer to the airport. Assistance with boarding formalities. Flight to France.
