From Marrakech to the Dunes of erg Chebbi, a Cultural and Adventurous Journey in 4x4

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel / riad for the historic tour of "La Perle du Sud". This visit will take us from the Menara gardens to the Bahia Palace, via the Saadian Tombs, and end with a visit to the exterior of the Koutoubia. Lunch (not included) in the Medina. In the afternoon, departure for a stroll through the souks of the medina and discovery of Djémâa El Fna square as the entertainment comes alive: snake charmers, acrobats, monkey trainers, fortune tellers will enchant you. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / riad.

Breakfast. Departure for Taroudant via the Tizi’n Test pass road. We will ascend through the Asni gorges then Ouirgane and Tinmal before reaching the pass situated at 2100m altitude. This road offers exceptional panoramas. Arrival at Oulad Berhil. Lunch (not included). Then we will head to Taroudant with a city tour, also nicknamed the "little Marrakech". We will cross forests of argan trees, a small tree that only grows in this region of the world and produces an oil highly prized for cooking or cosmetics. It is not uncommon to see herds of goats hanging in their treetops. Check-in at the hotel/riad. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast then departure for a guided tour of Taroudant. The city was once the capital of the Saadian dynasty. Taroudannt is protected by 6 km of walls built around 1523, earning it the nickname "the little Marrakech." These walls incorporate 130 towers and 19 corner bastions connected by a patrol path, making the city an impregnable citadel. The walls feature nine arched gates with Moorish architecture, mainly positioned at the cardinal points. The wall has five ancient gates, and new ones have been recently constructed to ease traffic flow in the city. The Taroudannt area is full of citrus plantations (mainly oranges and clementines). It is renowned for its Argan oil specific to the region, olive oil, and for its diverse handicrafts (including leatherwork, tanneries, pottery, etc.) and its beautiful landscapes. Located in the city's alleys, its souks gather around 1,000 traders who sell slippers, leathers, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, carpets, spices, wrought iron, and handicrafts. Some traders are set up in old caravanserais (consisting of a courtyard and about forty "rooms" rented to merchants passing through until the 1960s). Lunch (not included). Return to the hotel/riad. Free time. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure for Ighrem known for its granaries. Lunch (not included) on the road. Continue to Tissint prized for its saltwater waterfalls, which are suitable for cooling off, it is also famous for the scenic beauty of its oasis and the cultivation of medicinal plants. You will discover the house of the explorer Charles de Foucauld. Check-in at the inn (simple but comfortable accommodation). Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure for Foum Zguid then continuation to Zagora. Lunch (not included) and drive up the Drâa valley and check-in at the hotel / riad. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure for Tanzikht along the Drâa river, crossing numerous douars, then we will take the road to Nekob via a high stony plateau. Last stage towards Rissani. Lunch (not included) suggested in a café serving the famous medfouna or Berber pizza. Continuing towards Merzouga. Stop at the village of Khamlia inhabited by descendants of African slaves who perpetuate Gnawa music. Tea in front of the dunes. You will then reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi for a 45-minute camel ride to our luxury bivouac. Settling into a caidal tent with private bathroom and shower. Typical dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Return to Merzouga by 4x4. Then departure for Tineghir via Tinejdad. Exploration of the Todra Gorges, which are a narrow corridor about twenty meters wide formed by two sheer cliffs 300 meters high. Lunch (not included) at the exit of the gorges before continuing along the Dadés Valley. Continue your journey to Boulmane du Dades and then to the village of El Kelâa M'Gouna, known for its May roses. Excursion into the Valley of Roses and then we will join Skoura, the only truly inhabited palm grove in Morocco. Check-in at the hotel / riad. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Visit with a local guide to the magnificent Amerhidil kasbah which offers a panoramic view of the palm grove and the Atlas Mountains. Then departure for the Ouzoud waterfalls, crossing the High Atlas via Demnate. Upon arrival, discover the highest waterfalls in Morocco. Dinner at the hotel / riad and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer back to Marrakech, airport departure for flight.
